Golfers of all skill sets are using the wedges incorrectly everyday.
In the interest of improving our overall swing plane, we’ve developed specific golf tips that target the vital adjustments needed to improve our wedge game.
Swing plane, or the vertical angle between the ground and the circle that the club head travels on during our downswing, relies on a golfer’s height and dynamic swing posture for effect and accuracy.
Adjustments must be made based on the specifications, but the golf tips presented in our material will assist players in identifying areas that require attention in their own swing style.
Having a tight wedge game will ensure even your worst days on the golf course go well and your best days make you a stand out among your golf buddies.
Distance control, the most important area of adjustment in regards to swinging wedges, requires a meeting between arms and our overall body rotation.
These elements must arrive on top of our backswing simultaneously or a poor shot will be the result.
Adding to the length of our backswing will depend on the length of our clubs, as longer clubs tend to require a slight increase in distance beyond the natural turn of our body.
Good wedge work requires a decent amount of backspin, resulting in the golf ball stopping on the green.
Increased backspin requires a wedge club that has a high loft factor, often found in lobs and sand wedges (not your lunch!) which assist in distance control.
Golfers should not want to strike their wedges any higher than needed to stop their golf ball near the hole.
One of the most useful golf tips concerning an improved wedge game suggests that golfers should aim to hit through the ball rather than simply striking at the golf ball.
When golfing, the ball does not exist as the final objective of a golf swing.
The golf ball represents an obstruction that exists in the path of a perfect swing.
Remembering to act as if the golf ball simply exists as an obstacle to be swung through over the swing plane will greatly increase your success with wedges and all of the clubs you carry to the course.

ABOUT DANNY

Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

There are a lot of tips out there to learn how to golf, so we put together the 5 Best Tips for Beginner Golfers to help you in the right direction.
So you’ve decided to take the plunge and you’re going to learn how to play golf.
Let me be the first to congratulate you on your decision.
Whatever your reason for learning to play, golf is the greatest sport there is. Built on honor, integrity and sportsmanship (embodied by The First Tee); golf is a window into a person’s soul. You can learn a lot about someone just by how they conduct themselves on the golf course. Being outdoors in the fresh air and getting some good cardio exercise also isn’t a bad way to spend 4 hours either. You may also want to keep a psychiatrist on speed dial, too. Golf can be frustrating and drive you to the brink of insanity if you let it, but let’s not get into that right now. The game is magical.
There’s no need to buy a book called “Golf Tips for Beginners” or anything like that, because I’m going to hook you up with some free tips. You’re welcome.
1. THE PROPER GOLF GRIP
Golf is like any sport in the fact it takes practice and repetition to become good. Before you can swing a golf club you need to know how to grip it.
The first golf tip for beginners is the most basic and the most important. You can’t swing a club properly with the wrong grip. To start gripping the club, hold it in front of you at eye level with your right hand (assuming you’re right-handed). Now take your left hand and put the pad of your hand on the top of the club and close your fingers around the club. Got that? Great. If you want to do a test to see if you have it right, let your arm fall by your side and push the top of the club down, if the bottom of the club comes up, you’ve done it properly.

Being an effective course manager means doing a lot of your work before the round even starts. No matter what level you play at,
YOU MUST implement a basic strategy and implement the SIMPLE process. You also need to be smart in club selection in that hitting a driver long and far, may not always be the best player for your golf game. like club selection off the tee and your targets into greens.

Becoming a more confident player in the golf scoring zone is an easy way to knock strokes off your score, which means you have to improve your golfing abilities around the green. First, Charlie King explains the difference between pitching and chipping, and discusses what you should do before you prepare to swing and how you should set your stance, posture and grip. Then, Charlie and Brian Manzella teach you some of the ways to improve your short game by demonstrating the mechanics for distance control and showing you how to make solid contact. Finally, you’ll learn some fun practice games that you can use to challenge yourself and prepare for the shot-by-shot nature of a round on the course, rather than a sequence of chipping and pitching technique shots at the range. For consistent chipping, unlock your right side and get your whole body rotating forward. Find out how from Butch Harmon.
Transcript
Let’s talk about chipping. Let me show you the biggest fault I see in the average player of why they can’t chip consistently. The problem is they don’t use their body as well as their hands. You have to use your body. Let me show you what happens when you don’t. If you stand stationary with your body when you hit a chip, you’re probably going to scoop it, you’re not going to hit it solid, and you’re not going to get the proper speed you need. Let’s talk about what you need to do. You want to use your legs. Think of your right knee as a little bit of a trigger. Weight’s pretty much on the front side of your feet. Shaft’s forward. Use a little trigger with your legs. Remember, don’t stand still when you hit a chip. Put a little movement in it.
