Great stuff Mark. I always tell my students there are symptoms and there are flaws. In this case, to your point, the “cast” is a symptom of the disease “wrist angles”. Too many people can only see the symptom and try fixing it without doing anything about the real issue. Keep up the great content!

"I'm a little bit of a showman" hahaha, I died right then.

That doesn’t look like casting to me. He’s not really coming over the top

Absolutely a whole new level of understanding of golf and the swing, I wonder sometimes if Mark you realise exactly where you are going with this because reckon in ten years time we will look back and realise that most coaching nowadays was almost like a religion belief with no real facts…. however your level of scientific understanding is second to none… great shit as always !!!!

I thought we were going fishing for a moment. My 2 passions intertwined.

Really well explained. Having done this same drill with my pro I didn't understand why but you were much clearer explaining. Unfortunately I can't get hands forward as quickly as you.

So important to realize that casting is the product of other problems. Love the video, I wasted a lot of time trying to play golf closing the face desperately. Respect the clubface.

There is no perfect swing path, humans are not robots, we all have quirks that make our own games unique.

Great information, thanks mark.

This is excellent, more of this please. Soooo many questions…… for example “let the club head overtake “ – how do I manage these contradictory messages?

As someone who casts the ball, this is an unbelievable explanation and break down. Really shows off your knowledge! #therealgreatestshowman

What a well explained, well delivered, complicated idea that is actually quite simple when you break it down. Definitely the next evolution of golf instruction in my opinion

I will add that I like Mark, Dan and all the Muppets and i love the vlogs and watch daily but there's ways of putting things across and sometimes he seems very patronising and condescending to Dan who is a coach himself, and Dan just seems to stand there looking dumb

Dan's studio Dan's equipment Dan's gc quad……"Are you in the hitting area?" I know where I would be casting my club.

this is a whole new level of coaching golf
December 15th, 2018 at 5:00 pm
Does Mark purposely try and patronize Dan and try and make him look stupid? And does Dan just let him do it?
That will be yes……And yes

I was casting, and my instructor instantly saw that it was from my takeaway and wrist angles. He showed me on a video that if I hadn't cast (at that time), I wouldn't get any kind of strike on the ball worth playing.
