There are a lot of tips out there to learn how to golf, so we put together the 5 Best Tips for Beginner Golfers to help you in the right direction.
So you’ve decided to take the plunge and you’re going to learn how to play golf.
Let me be the first to congratulate you on your decision.
Whatever your reason for learning to play, golf is the greatest sport there is. Built on honor, integrity and sportsmanship (embodied by The First Tee); golf is a window into a person’s soul. You can learn a lot about someone just by how they conduct themselves on the golf course. Being outdoors in the fresh air and getting some good cardio exercise also isn’t a bad way to spend 4 hours either. You may also want to keep a psychiatrist on speed dial, too. Golf can be frustrating and drive you to the brink of insanity if you let it, but let’s not get into that right now. The game is magical.
There’s no need to buy a book called “Golf Tips for Beginners” or anything like that, because I’m going to hook you up with some free tips. You’re welcome.
1. THE PROPER GOLF GRIP
Golf is like any sport in the fact it takes practice and repetition to become good. Before you can swing a golf club you need to know how to grip it.
The first golf tip for beginners is the most basic and the most important. You can’t swing a club properly with the wrong grip. To start gripping the club, hold it in front of you at eye level with your right hand (assuming you’re right-handed). Now take your left hand and put the pad of your hand on the top of the club and close your fingers around the club. Got that? Great. If you want to do a test to see if you have it right, let your arm fall by your side and push the top of the club down, if the bottom of the club comes up, you’ve done it properly.

Hi Guys, I would like to ask you about practice swings, how important is it. I don't ever make them.

Right after reading these golf swing secrets “unique jamfon press” (Google it) and rehearsing the drills as I read, I went out and also shot a 73. Another achievement I`ve made is hitting 13 of 18 greens in regulation. On the other five holes, I got close to hitting 5-10 yards with the green. 73s is not a natural thing for me since I have a handicap of 9. When I think it over, I haven’t had a superb round for a long time..

I can suggest you a website from where you can learn the A-Z of golfing and be a pro in no time. You can visit Golfentee. They are here for you to let you learn via the Golf training program that they have designed for you in 4 DVD sets. You don’t need to visit any golf course or any group session where you would feel shy. You must definitely visit https://www.golfentee.co.uk/ to know more about Golf.

I’m a left handed guy. I just started to learn golf today. Most people commented that I should better be starting as a right handed position/ swing instead of left. Is there a good basis to this other than the face that there’s not many left handed golfers (and hard to get equipment)? Thank you. Happy golfing!

I have read through the book 2 times and made Fifteen yards more on all irons, 25 more on my driver. My enjoyment of playing golf has doubled and my self-confidence has raised…

Nicely done!!! You helped me figure out what I’ve been doing wrong. I used to have a 7 handicap before 2, yes 2 (over an 8 year span) major car wrecks (not my fault LOL) “rained on my parade.” I’m 5 years past major back surgery (ugly hardware still in my lower back (L4, L5, S1 fusion) and my brother in law talked me into playing a round of Golf. I went and bought some new sticks, ( I had sold my old pings after 1st car wreck) bag, and golf shoes but ran out of time to hit the range before our tee time. Backing out of the round was not an option so like an idiot, I played nine holes of golf with new hardware in my back, new clubs, new golf shoes and I hadn’t even swung a club in eleven years…. The round was ugly!!! I had fun but my swing, naturally, was waaay out of whack. The weird thing is mentally I was swinging like I used to but physically I was a “train wreck.” My set-up, takeaway, backswing (especially “lag”) were all out of sync.
I said all that to say, it was time to get back to basics and “tweak” my swing to accommodate the new hardware, both inside, and outside, my back. Ha… Being an advocate of “visualization,” I needed to find a solid video (via YouTube) to watch before hitting the range. This video was just what I needed. I realized immediately what I was doing wrong (poor weight distribution in stance, swaying during backswing, and dipping). I can’t wait to hit the range and start my journey back!!! Thank you for your well articulated video. Forgive my wordiness, I wrote more than intended in case someone else out there could relate…

My grandson has spinal stenosis and cant make a quality rotation without pain, what tip can yuo give to help him make some sort of turn that wont cause him spinal pain? He is a beginning golfer and loves the game but everything in his swing is just upper body and arms because of his lack of rotation.

Tried these tips at the golf range. Great instruction there

First I learned to hit the ball solid. There is not one magic golf swing like some people say. But there are some basics like addressing the ball properly and having a fluid swing that make a huge difference. If you can hit the ball 200 yards in the air then you're long enough. Next I learned to control my nerves. Golf didn't give me this. Life did. Do drugs. Sleep with strange women. Stand up for yourself and accept the hard times. Nerves come from fear. Eliminate fear through experience. Finally I learned that course knowledge saves strokes. Know your distances and play to your strengths. Otherwise the course is beating you. I'm a 5 handicap.

I just started golfing, my first time was a couple weeks ago. So It will be interesting using this videos and going to a driving range or even just in my back yard and see how it helps me.
