the more I look at this magisterial swing the more I begin to think that the movements of the head and neck are really very important in the golf swing. His movements are actually very complex and obviously deliberately practiced.

Why does his lead (left) arm bend in downswing approaching impact? Most top pros do that and I'd love to know the cause(s).

Great face-on iron shot from McIlroy, I really love face-on more than trailing side swing video from tutorial perspective. You can't see precise shoulder turn, body rotation, attack angle or the place of lowest swing arc from trailing side video as from face-on video. Thanks!
