GOLF ETIQUETTE YOU NEED TO KNOW // Tips for Playing Like a Pro
golf lessons tips November 17th. 2018, 7:34amWhether you’re brand new to golf or are an experienced player, all the on course etiquette can be really confusing! How do you rake a bunker? Who hits first? How do you fix a divot or ball mark? Can you listen to music? So many things to know!
Hopefully these tips help to make getting out on the course a little more comfortable. I know it can be really intimidating, especially when you’re first starting out!

leave rake in the bunker….its considered part of the hazard. Leaving it outside "could" interfere with the ball going into the bunker.

Not exactly sure how fast I play, fairly new so I'm sure it's not great. My biggest pet peeve is if you're stuck behind a foursome on a couple holes, then they let you play through, that's when I seem to choke. Then you're getting ready to hit your second shot, and one of those tee off behind you and about hits ya. AT LEAST ALLOW TWO SHOTS BETWEEN YA!!

I need to show this to my friends… I love them like fam but holy shit a round of golf with them is torture because they have no etiquette. Walking in my lines, stealing my tee box, groups backing up behind us and may as well throw all basic rules out the window. It’s basically the number one reason why I play mostly by myself. Nice video.

If you have specific idiosyncrasies don't be shy to let your playing partners know.
I would rather someone stand in front of me (even close) but never behind me.
I travel and book as a single and often play in with strangers. Every point Paige raises is so valid and don't be afraid to point out issues politely if you feel comfortable with your playing partners. Most will appreciate it.

Some etiquette things I've noticed people doing is hitting too early when people are still in the fairway or just leaving a green. It would be horrible to hit someone. Think about how worse it would be to be on the receiving end of that act. Another is people marking up the green around the cup either by putting the flag in at an extreme angle or using their putter to drag the ball out of the hole. Use one of those 'old man' suction cup things at the end of the putter. lol Oh, let's not forget driving the carts up near the greens. Great video Paige and I don't think I could ever see you as a 'slut'. I got quite the chuckle on that comment.

There are many components to how to improve your golf. One plan I found that successfully combines these is the Gavs Golf Tactic (check it out on google) definately the most helpful resource that I've heard of. Check out the extraordinary information .

Nice video. The Golf Channel really needs to do a piece addressing "membership etiquette." Also, the "ball beater" problem MUST be addressed. Too many men and women waste hours of their day to this task. It is an addiction. It is a sickness. By supporting the argument with some statistics, The Golf Channel is a great media outlet to inform golfers that they will shoot the same scores without all the range play. Shooting 85 year after year in the club championship, despite all the "practice," is time wasted. Use the extra time during the week to take your spouse out on a date or get together with friends.

I work for a golf course reservation center, so it's basically this multiplied by a thousand. Every. Single. Day.
The best is a certain course whose phone number apparently got mixed up with Comcast: "Sir/ma'am, this is a golf course." "So you can't help with me with my cable/internet/bill?" hangs oneself
