improve golf swing November 14th. 2018, 7:20pm
Some swings on tour are just too smooth for even a tour pro. Here’s a look at the top 20 sweetest swingers in golfing history, listed by Bleacher Report:
1. Ben Hogan
2. Fred Couples
3. Bobby Jones
4. Mickey Wright
5. Sam Snead
6. Jack Nicklaus
7. Adam Scott
8. Nick Faldo
9. Payne Stewart
10. Steve Elkington
Here is a good slow motion video of Luke Donald. In 2011, he played some very consistent golf and became the #1 player in the world. You can learn a lot by watching his golf swing. Notice how well he swings the club on plane. Swinging the club on plane is a key to hitting the ball solid and maintaining a consistent ball flight. Also, watch how the golf shaft bisects through his right forearm as he swings up and also when he swings down. Not much can go wrong when the club bisects through the forearm on the way back down. Also, notice how he has good hip rotation while the club stays on plane.
This is a very nice swing to try to copy.

Louis Oosthuizen? Best modern swing for me. I thought this was “sweetest”? Sweetest implies effortless, none more effortless than Louis’ in my opinion. Thanks for the vids tho. “Meant to start conversations, not end them” as they say.

I think that the easiest way to follow the unique differences of each of their swings is to watch how they swing their biceps.

Optics are great.. doesn’t mean you can win major championships! Jacks swing wasn’t beautiful at all,but he was clutch for 18 majors he made PUTTS! Adam Scott beautiful golf swing.. Penny Putter only one major. Fred couples need I say anything. Last but not least Ben Hogan with such a beautiful swing he should have won more championship.. people will say what about his accident… what about it he focused on ball striking putter took a back seat.. Sam Snead beautiful and many wins on tour awesome. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..

Payne Stewart had the most flowing swing ever. Really syrupy.

Nicklaus might be the greatest ever. But "sweet" swing? As in pretty? I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I find it u-g-l-y.

Why is bobby's swing not taught. Payne as well. Notice how their hips and shoulders rotate together and how little they turn through at impact. More power and no stress on the lower back. Don't lift your front foot don't straighten your back leg, hold off on your release. Modern swing teaching is a joke. It's called a swing for a reason.

When I was still a beginner, I was able to achieve a slice and 150 yards by conducting a typical drive. When I tried the “mowosam press” (Google it) golf swing techniques, the regular drives I hit range between 200-220 yards. Sometimes even much longer. Today, my handicap is sixteen when compared with when I was starting out with 26. Look for the guide and try using it these days…

Amazing how square he keeps the club head through the entire swing. No wonder he’s such a great iron player.

Nice video. I wish I had a camera that records at such high fps rate. Mine only does it at 30 fps so you can't see as many details.

Yes, but you'll need a video camera angle. Get a couple of alignment sticks & pick a target. Aim one alignment stick on your foot line and another parallel to your ball flight line. Set the camera looking directly down the alignment stick on your feet. You'll clearly see where the club head swings. If it's behind your hands, you are too flat or inside the plane. If it's in front your hands, you could be too steep. If the club head bypasses by your hands, you're on a good plane.
